Roadside Nursery, LLC, is now open for business on George Washington Memorial Highway in Gloucester, near the old Page Middle School site. The location has housed several other nurseries in the past.

S. Denise Paquin of Mathews is the new owner/manager of Roadside Nursery. She employs several seasonal workers.

Roadside Nursery sells an assortment of plants, and also stone, statuary, mulch and other lawn and garden items.

In addition, Paquin operates a produce stand, which features fresh fruits and vegetables, jams, honey, barbecue rubs, applebutter and other farm products.

Paquin has worked in the nursery business for more than 15 years, including at the nearby Roadview Nursery (a wholesale operation, unlike her new retail business) for 12 years.

Having been raised in a military family, Paquin traveled often. She graduated from Mathews High School.

Her husband Michael is an electrician for a Gloucester company. They have two sons.
