Plant/flower sale to benefit Page Middle School

Foxwood Nursery of Mathews, owned by former Page Middle School principal Wayne Fox, his wife Jennifer and son Chris, will hold a plant and flower sale Saturday to assist tornado-ravaged Page.

Wayne Fox said the sale will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on the vacant lot on Route 17 directly across from Bill Hudgins GMC auto dealership.

He said the nursery will bring about 1,800 plants including roses, daisies, Japanese maples, many varieties of butterfly bushes, sedum, daylilies, hibiscus, ornamental grasses and perennials, offering them at very low prices.

All proceeds, Fox said, will be used to replenish supplies such as sheet music, workbooks, etc., sucked out of Page during the devastating April 16 tornado.
