The Gloucester Extension Master Gardeners will hold its yearly Plant Extravaganza on Sept. 10 and 11 at the Moose Family Center. The event will be from 4 p.m. to 6.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Master Gardeners member Melanie Storrs said event-goers will have an array of plants to purchase from including native plants, perennials, trees, shrubs, houseplants and herbs. The majority of the plants being sold are raised by the Master Gardeners. Storrs said other plants will be from Brent & Becky’s, Green Planters Garden Center & Landscaping, Hudgins Nursery & Garden Center, and Mobjack Nursery.

Gently used garden tools will also be available for purchase, said Storrs. People can also bring in tools to be sharpened. She said gardeners will be there to talk to for anyone looking for advice.

This is the first year the Plant Extravaganza will be held at the Moose Family Center. Storrs said the Master Gardeners are excited for the new location.
