Plans underway for RCC’s annual Preakness Party

Reservations are being accepted for Rappahannock Community College’s annual Preakness Party, which is scheduled to take place on May 18 at the Inn at Warner Hall, Gloucester.

This year’s event, which will benefit the RCC Educational Foundation, will be larger than in years past, according foundation director Victor Clough. He said more restaurants and wineries are participating this year, and added an array of items for the silent and live auctions that promise something for all tastes and pocketbooks.

Auction items include travel packages, one-of-a-kind antiques, jewelry, fine art originals from leading area artists and several surprises. Auction offerings can be previewed at www.rappahannock.edu/foundation/preakness-party. The afternoon will conclude with viewing the Preakness Stakes horse race live on overhead big-screen televisions.
