Plans are underway for the eighth annual Gloucester Wine Festival, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23 at the gardens of Brent and Becky’s, Ware Neck. “We are excited to host the festival a whole month earlier this year,” said Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce executive director Gloria Williams. “The Wine Festival continues to celebrate an incredible agricultural industry in Virginia, and this year Gloucester is proud to host 13 Virginia wineries and cellars from all over the commonwealth. “Winemaking has been a part of Virginian history, dating back to Jamestown, and continues to grow and change,” she continued.
