Organizers are in the process of planning the 2016 Audubon Christmas Bird Count in Mathews and Ware Neck, which is set for Sunday, Jan. 3.

Joyce McKelvey, who has coordinated the event for a number of years, is asking participants to put their teams together and let her know so that she can get sector packets out in a timely fashion.
