Planners to hold hearings on two development proposals

The Gloucester County Planning Commission will hold three public hearings next week, including rezoning requests for a multi-family development off Fiddler’s Green Road near Gloucester Court House and an apartment community just south of York River Crossing, Hayes.

The hearings begin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 5, in the colonial courthouse.

Property manager Robert L. Freeman Jr., representing York River Crossing Associates, LLC, seeks to reclassify approximately 10.7 acres from Office Business (B-3) to Residential Mixed Use, Conditional (RMX).

The purpose of this application is to develop a multi-family apartment community just to the south of the York River Crossing Shopping Center.

Freeman proposes to develop 24-30 townhouses and 78-96 garden apartments for a total of approximately 126 units and a 2,000-square-foot clubhouse.
