Planners to consider Gloucester duplex rezoning request

The Gloucester County Planning Commission will hold two public hearings about zoning matters during a meeting at 7:30 p.m. next Thursday, Nov. 3, in the colonial courthouse.

Anne Ducey-Ortiz, director of the planning and zoning department, said that Tabb M. Bridges has applied to reclassify about one-third acre from SF-1 (Single Family) to MF-1 (Multi Family) for the purpose of developing units.

Ducey-Ortiz said that Bridges indicated plans to develop a duplex building containing two units.

The subject property is located in the Ware Magisterial District at the intersection of Fairview and Edgehill streets, north of the intersection of Edgehill Street and Ware House Road.

The county’s Comprehensive Plan identifies this area as Village Scale Mixed Use where higher density development should occur, a public notice said.
