Planners consider county’s capital needs

The Gloucester County Planning Commission received information about the FY2019-2023 Capital Improvement Plan during a special meeting last Thursday night in the colonial courthouse. No action was taken.

Several department heads presented reports about their capital improvement requests and County Administrator Brent Fedors said other department heads will present their requests to the commission during its regular meeting next Thursday, Nov. 2. The commission is expected to make its recommendations on the CIP at its Dec. 7 meeting.

Fedors said a grading formula is being used to gather input on the many CIP requests from department heads. After input from a focus group, the commission and the supervisors, some of the capital improvement requests will be included in the next fiscal year’s budget, Fedors said.
