Pizza Hut closes Point restaurant; opens take-out/delivery location

The Pizza Hut restaurant at Gloucester Point closed on June 21 and a replacement store opened June 23 at York River Crossing Shopping Center, Hayes.

Store manager Wiatt Briggs of Gloucester said that franchisee NPC opted to close the former location, which featured a dining room, and go to a format that featured no dining in but take-out and delivery service only—both options available at the old store.

Business has been very good at the Hayes store in its first few days in operation, Briggs said. The delivery service area covers Gloucester Point, Hayes, Guinea and up to Ordinary.

The new location, like its predecessor, sells a variety of pizzas, pasta dishes, wings, desserts and soft drinks, Briggs said.
