Pivot offers fall prevention workshop

Pivot Physical Therapy, Gloucester, will host a balance and fall prevention workshop from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, at the Pivot Performance Center office on Main Street, south of Edgehill.

Physical therapist Natalie Conway will help adults identify their risk for falling and present strategies for how to decrease that risk.

Also, physical therapy assistant Dawn Allen-Bontrager, who is also a certified Tai Chi for Rehabilitation instructor, will offer Tai Chi classes beginning Jan. 15 at Pivot’s Hayes and Gloucester Court House locations.

Tai Chi classes will be offered in Hayes from 1:30-2:15 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the Court House location from 11:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. on Thursdays.
