Pinning ceremony

The Ware River Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons held a pinning ceremony for new members on April 2 at the Ware Episcopal Church Parish House. Sandy Pace, International President of the International Order of The King’s Daughters and Sons, performed the pinning ceremony. WRCKDS was organized in Gloucester on March 10, 1896; just 10 years after the original 10 women organized the very first Circle in New York in 1886. The group’s three-fold purpose is educational, philanthropic and religious. Members of The King’s Daughters and Sons Circles, of which there are four in the local area, have provided leadership, fundraising and volunteer services, assuring their long-held commitment to children’s health care in the region.
