At a recent meeting of the Piankatank Ruritan Club, RISP Clinical Head Kaylyn Moore, RN, at left, and RISP Early Intervention Program Coordinator Kimberly Marean presented an interesting and informative program on the Rural Infant Services Program. The federally funded program serves children in Mathews, Gloucester and surrounding counties from infant to age three years old who are developmentally delayed or have other medical concerns. Referrals to the program typically come from pediatrician offices, day care centers and family members.
