Piankatank River sushi

A pair of mature bald eagles shared a meal of sushi in an unoccupied osprey nest on Saturday in the Piankatank River in Dutton. “This is a common sight during late January and February,” said photographer Susan Nottingham, who has an eagle-eye view of the nest from her house. “However, our osprey couple is due back in town in early March. They worked hard to build that nest and won’t tolerate these freeloaders.”
