In its first league day event of the 2026 season, the Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association held a Captain’s Choice Play contest last Thursday at the golf course in Hartfield. Winners were:

First place—Nina Carter, Mary Dorman and Ann Stanley (net, 70); second place—Mary Francisco, Vicky Gunn, Kay Lloyd (net, 74), and third place—Ramona Darden, Chong Hudgins and Kay Stout (net, 75).
