Ebtehal Abdelaal, M.D., joined Riverside Gloucester Family Practice in mid-November.

A family practice physician, she is accepting new patients including children and adults. She has joined doctors Donald Tschan Jr. and David Kemp in the practice, which is located at 7560 Hospital Drive, Building B, Suite 101, adjacent to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. Seven support staff members are based there.

Abdelaal said she likes the variety of practicing family medicine. She has seen a number of patients so far, with many being treated for bronchitis and other conditions.

She said she treats patients of both sexes, but some women have said they are very comfortable having a local female physician who can perform well-woman gynecological exams. "They can do all this in one visit, when they have their annual physical," Abdelaal said.
