Lynchburg native Brandon Conner recently joined Tidewater Physical Therapy of Gloucester as a physical therapist and is working out of the company’s Hayes clinic.
Conner said he has known since a young age that he wanted to be a physical therapist. At age 12, he broke his left leg and his experience during his own physical therapy was so positive that he decided then and there he wanted to help others through this profession, he said.
Each day is different, which is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the job. He also said he enjoys teaching his patients techniques that promote better mobility. "I enjoy teaching them things they can carry forward and prevent further injury down the road so that they can live with a higher quality of life," Conner said.
During his time with Tidewater, Conner said he has seen a majority of patients dealing with lower back pain, sciatica, total knee replacements, and post-surgical rehabilitation. He has also treated high school athletes and...
