Photo/digital art exhibit on display at RAL

The exhibit “Photography and Digital Art” is on display throughout December at the Rappahannock Art League Art Center on Main Street in Kilmarnock. The show includes 41 original photographs. Cait Layton, professional artist, art professor, and the co-chair of the Visual Arts Department at Virginia Peninsula Community College, judged the show. Juli Schuszler presented Layton’s selections for awards along with her comments during the First Friday public reception on Friday, Dec. 5. For first place, Layton selected “Pacific Northwest,” by Harold Burnley. The judge said that she chose it because “I found myself returning again and again to this image.” Second place was “Reflections on Bow Bridge NY” by Jeff Barsky.
