Art by students participating in the Phoenix Art Group’s after school art program at four Gloucester elementary schools is on display through Saturday at Arts on Main in Gloucester. A reception will be held that day from 3-4 p.m., when winners will be announced and refreshments will be served. The art includes creative pieces in both two and three dimensions, made from materials as diverse as woven fabric, clay, cardboard tubes and thread spools. The public is invited to drop by until 5 p.m. on Friday, and vote in the “People’s Choice Award” contest. ...
