Phillips Energy supports B&G Club in Giving Tuesday with 10 percent of sales

Phillips Energy of Gloucester Point will support the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula, earmarked for the Gloucester location, on Giving Tuesday that falls on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

Giving Tuesday encourages charities, families, businesses and individuals to follow the post-Thanksgiving shopping blitz with efforts to help local communities.

Phillips Energy said it will donate 10 percent of sales from its public gas station near Gloucester Point, located at 2586 George Washington Memorial Highway in Hayes, to the nonprofit.

“Giving Tuesday gives us an opportunity to take our collective giving spirit and spread it a little further by helping people and causes in our community who need it most,” said Elizabeth McCormick, Vice President of Phillips Energy. “This year, we’re excited to support an organization in our community that inspires our future leaders with an excellent foundation.”
