Phillips Energy holds special week of Alzheimer’s fundraisers

Each June, the Alzheimer’s Association hosts a global fundraising effort on the summer solstice, the “Longest Day” of the year.

This year, Phillips Energy is taking the annual summer fundraising a few steps further and recognizing the “Longest Week” with a series of events to help bring the community together to boost awareness and raise money to help find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.

“We are so proud to support the Alzheimer’s Association, a wonderful organization whose cause is very near and dear to our hearts,” said Elizabeth McCormick, Phillips Energy Vice President. “Finding a way to END ALZ has become Phillips Energy’s signature cause, and we are humbled each and every year by the outpouring of support we get from our customers and community.”

The lineup of fundraising events started Tuesday, with Phillips donating 10 percent of all retail fuel sales at its Gloucester Point station to the Alzheimer’s Association.
