Phillips Energy, Inc., of Gloucester Point, which provides propane to the fleet of school buses in Newport News, is cited for its work in a recent study by Blue Bird and Roush CleanTech. The study, found on Blue Bird’s corporate website, relates how Newport News has saved more than $2 million in fuel and parts expenses since the large school system switched from diesel to propane-fueled buses in 2017.
