PETA staff members Thomas McNulty and Daniel and Katherine Sullivan Paden raised over $10,000 to alter 161 animals in a free mobile clinic on April 10, held at Gloucester County Animal Control.
“Every single animal’s care was free,” said Daniel, PETA’s vice president of legal advocacy.
Three mobile clinics were brought to animal control, one for dogs, one for cats and one for feral or community cats.
“They’re massive RVs,” said Daniel about the clinics. “Each is a fully-contained veterinary clinic.”
The Sullivan Padens married in October and asked their guests to donate to a fund that would allow them to host a free mobile clinic in lieu of gifts. By November, the couple had raised $7,000 which was enough to hold two clinics.
McNulty, who is from Gloucester, has raised funds for several free mobile clinics for the Gloucester community over the years, inspiring the Sullivan Padens to contribute to his efforts. McNulty raised $3,000 on his own so a third clinic could be held on April 10....
