The Gloucester County School Board appointed Leslie Billups of Yorktown and Victoria Carter of Gloucester as teacher assistants during its Nov. 8 meeting. 

Also, Kimberly Khoury of Hayes was appointed as the bookkeeper at Abingdon Elementary and Renee Larrimore of Gloucester and Cecil Womble of North were appointed to support services positions. 

Resignations were accepted from Gloucester High School assistant principal William Hicks, effective Dec. 31. GHS math teacher Garrett Gregory, pending a replacement, and Page Middle School special education teacher Cristie Steele, effective Nov. 4. 

Resignations were additionally accepted from teacher assistants Suzanne Spinapont and Angela Nicosia, Petsworth Elementary administrative associate Sarah Chowning, and support services employees Cindy Eubank and Cheyenne Pattisall. 

Also, retirement was approved for instructional supervisor Cynthia Carmine, effective Jan. 1, 2017.
