Personnel appointed at Gloucester schools

The Gloucester County School Board made several personnel appointments during its July 18 meeting at the T.C. Walker Education Center.

Jennifer Tingley of Toano was appointed as a special education specialist and Austen Winkler of Williamsburg was appointed as a counselor at Gloucester High School, both effective Aug. 14. 

Appointed to teaching positions for the 2017-2018 school year were Gail Hibbard of Fort Eustis at Abingdon Elementary, and Courtney Cook of Lynchburg, Kathryn Johnson of Gloucester and Bridgett Wells of Gloucester Point, all at Petsworth Elementary. 

Also, appointed to teaching positions at GHS for the 2017-2018 school year were Derek Kibler of Gloucester, Lindsay Newell of Mathews and Michael Cecere of Williamsburg.

In addition, Owen Balderson of Gloucester was appointed as a seasonal groundskeeper.
