The story of Persephone, the Greek goddess of spring, will take center stage at Zoll Vineyards in Dutton at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, during “Persephone’s Return,” a dinner and dance event that brings together mythology, cultural tradition and live performance. Doors open at 6 p.m., with dinner beginning at 6:30. Hosted by Aela Badiana and her dance collective, Infinity Dance Company, the event offers a theatrical interpretation of the ancient Greek myth through belly dance, said a press release. The performance draws on Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dance traditions to explore themes of seasonal change, renewal, and the arrival of spring. The evening will feature guest dancers from across the region, followed by a staged performance of Persephone’s Return. The program will also include a special appearance by internationally recognized dancer Sharon Kihara.
