Brad Perkins of Gloucester, owner of Elite Construction at Hayes, has been recognized by Professional Builder magazine as one of its 40 Under 40 construction industry professionals for 2015.

Perkins, 33, founded Elite Construction at the age of 24, and did more than $1.5 million in sales in remodeling and new construction work his first year in business.

The magazine article said that Perkins has “continued to grow the business at least 10 percent each year with projected 2015 sales of $10 million.” In 2011, Perkins worked on and managed the “Extreme Home Makeover” television show’s Virginia Beach house; he also provided more than 25 siding personnel and framers as a donation to a local family in need.

Professional Builder said that Perkins’s “off the clock” hobbies include riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, dirt bikes and four-wheelers, as well as boating and target shooting.
