Perfect weather for lawn parties, gardens

There will be a lawn party at the Bohannon residence of Mr. Perry Hicks on Friday evening next, June 7, given by the Ladies Aid Society of Providence Church.

A large quantity of peas has been shipped from this place at fair prices, and potatoes bid fair for a large yield. Corn planting is still going on.

In Cobbs Creek news, our roads have been put in good condition by the supervision of Mr. Smithers.

Several of the young people of this vicinity went on the excursion Friday and returned Monday.
