The Peebles department store in York River Crossing Shopping Center, Hayes, will be converted to a Gordmans store in the spring of next year. Both Peebles and Gordmans are part of the Stage community of stores.

According to Blakely Graham, spokesperson for Stage, the company is converting a number of Peebles locations, including the local store. “Converting stores close in the days leading up to the Gordmans grand opening,” Graham said.

She described Gordmans as an off-price retailer, which means that it has a wide array of merchandise for the entire family at the lowest possible prices compared to department stores. 

“Gordmans, which has been delighting shoppers for more than 100 years, has fresh new merchandise deliveries arriving weekly,” Graham said. “There will always be something new to discover when it comes to popular name-brand apparel, home décor, footwear, gifts, accessories, fragrances and more for the entire family.
