Peasley recognizes the ‘Pride of the Pride’

In the midst of so many changes this school year, Peasley Middle School has chosen to recognize its students who have risen to the challenge of maintaining academic standards.

The Peasley mascot is a pride of lions so Peasley calls its recognized students the Pride of the Pride. Each Peasley teacher picked one student who stood out among their peers during the first quarter, excelled at virtual or hybrid learning and whom they could call “top notch.”

All of the Pride of the Pride students received a new book of their choice, thanks to a donation of books by the Molina Foundation and Virginia 4-H.

The following students were named to the Pride of the Pride for the first quarter: Sixth grade, Naomi Autry, Marek Barnett, Tristan Buswell, Alexandra Byser, Autumn Cookson, Heidi Hoffman, Emma Hogge, Lisa Johnson, Madelyn Mickett, Samantha Ramaglino, Donald Shahan, Jazlene Stokes, Jayden Paskewitz and Symphany Vanterpool;Seventh grade: Blake Adkins, Hannah Broadwell, Shyanne Carlton...
