Peasley baseball triumphs over Page, 4-2

The Peasley Middle School baseball team posted a 4-2 victory over Page Middle School in a game that came down to the last at bat on Monday.

Seventh grader Brett Lindsay pitched seven strong innings for the Pride with no earned runs. He also helped his own cause by driving in two runs. Leadoff hitter Tony Morales, also a seventh grader, reached base on all four turns at the plate, stole six bases and scored four runs.

Peasley turned two key double plays and worked out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the seventh to preserve the win. The two Gloucester middle school teams are scheduled to meet again on the diamond April 25 on the Pride field.
