This week is National Police Week and today is Peace Officers Memorial Day.
The Mathews County Sheriff’s Office will host a service at 6 o’clock tonight at the historic courthouse on Court Street to recognize all officers nationwide who made the ultimate sacrifice in 2013. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
