Gloucester High School graduate Khadijah Payne completed her high school track and field career by placing seventh in the shot put during the VHSL Group 5A Track and Field Championships June 6 at Todd Stadium.

Payne attained All-State status with her performance at the state meet. She will attend Norfolk State University as a pre-med student in the fall. Rising junior Mia Robinson also represented GHS at the state meet but did not place in the pole vault.

GHS students interested in participating in summer track and field or cross county programs should contact coach John Perrin at jperrin47@aol.com or through the teams’ Facebook pages.
