Pauline Delores Davis, 66, of northern Virginia, formerly of Mathews County, passed away on March 22, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Pauline lived with a spirit that lifted others. She had a natural way of finding the good in every situation and sharing that light with everyone around her. Her sense of humor, kindness, and steady positivity made a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Pauline was a graduate of Mathews High School and a proud HBCU graduate of Virginia Union University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She carried that pride throughout her life and was a strong example of perseverance, grace, and strength.
She was a dedicated and loyal employee at iGov, where she worked for over 25 years in the Finance and Accounting department. She was respected for her commitment, reliability, and the care she brought to her work each day.
Pauline was a loving sister, devoted aunt, and true friend to many. She had a special way of making people feel seen, valued, and encouraged. Whether through laughter or simple acts of kindness, she brought comfort and joy to those around her.
She is survived by her brothers, Michael (Karen), Paul Jr. (Sarah), Robert (Alison), and Claude (Anna), along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Sr. and Lucy Davis.
The visitation will be Friday, March 27 6-8 p.m., at Forrest Brothers Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 28 at Windsor Gardens Mausoleum in Dutton, Va.
Pauline’s life was a reminder to lead with love, to find joy in the everyday, and to always look for the good. Her light will continue to shine through all who loved her.
