Paul Conrad Galewater, 82, of Hayes, passed Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at his home surrounded by family.

Paul’s proudest moments in his life include his family and his service to his country in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years.

He enjoyed woodworking, working in his garden which he generously shared with everyone, and spoiling his grandchildren and dog. He will always be remembered for his courage and strength and the love shared with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Galewater; sons, Steve and Ray Galewater; granddaughter and her husband Monica and Aaron Harris; great-granddaughters Madison Los and Victoria Harris; and dear friend Joe W. Los, as well as other family and friends. 

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Dr. Richard Croxton will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will be later in Arlington National Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service on Saturday from 1-2 at the funeral home.
