Patrick Eugene Brown, 80, of Achilles, passed away Aug. 11, 2017 at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
Eugene was born in Gloucester County, and graduated in 1956 from Gloucester High School. He served four years in the U.S. Navy and then went to work at the Naval Weapons Station, where he retired as a Quality Assurance Specialist.
Eugene was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and a co-teacher of the Lacy Martin Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Achilles Masonic Lodge AF and AM, No. 281, and the Tidewater Shrine Club. He will be lovingly remembered always.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Waverly Brown, and his mother, Hattie B. Christensen.
Eugene was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 56 years, Lorraine R. Brown. He is also survived by his brothers, Waverly L. Brown (Marla), Raymond McConkey and Al Christensen (Sandy); uncle, Troy Woody Brown (Elizabeth), and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service conducted by Chaplain Carol Johnson was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery.
