PATRICIA DIANE EASON TRINIDAD

Patricia Diane Eason Trinidad, 54, Gloucester, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012. She suffered for a long time with diabetes and a failing heart. While surrounded by her loved ones Monday evening, that suffering ended.

Diane was born in Rocky Mount, N.C., and lived most of her adult life in Gloucester. Previous to living there, she lived in Hampton, Va., where she attended Kecoughtan High School. She worked for many years at Nick’s Steak & Spaghetti. She was known far and wide for her lumpia rolls. She loved to cook and just please everyone with her food.

She leaves behind her husband of 30 years, Reynante Trinidad, and two children, Ricky Trinidad (Christina) and Melissa Trinidad (Tivon), both of Gloucester. She was preceded in death by her father, John S. Eason Jr., and leaves behind her mother, Genevieve Keeter Eason of Gloucester, and her three sisters, Wanda Williams (Gary) of Chesapeake, Sandra Dianna (Tony) of Hampton, and Pam Bucklew (Bobby). She also leaves behind eight beautiful grandchildren, Adonis, Ariana, Alexia, Tyler, Jasmine, Haley, Collin, and Caleb, and many nieces and nephews who called her Aunt Di!!! She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.

We would like to give a special appreciation to Aunt Brenda and to Mary Immaculate Hospital and staff, their ICU staff, physicians, nurses, as well as Sisters Claudine and Bernard, for taking such good care of Diane and her family during this difficult time. They went above and beyond to provide her and her family with world-class comfort and care. Her Aunt Brenda took care of her over the last few weeks while she was in ICU and many others visited or called. We appreciate all that was done by everyone.

A Celebration of Life Service led by Pastor Richard Whiteheart will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, 9254 Guinea Road, Hayes, Va.

Cremation arrangements were taken care of by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Hampton.
