The Mathews Rotary Club held its fourth annual Party With a Purpose at Williams Wharf on Sunday. The purpose of this year’s party was to raise funds for the new Mathews Family YMCA preschool program. The preschool will open Aug. 25 and already has enrolled students. Gorgeous weather prevailed and Good Shot Judy got the crowd dancing. Roughly 400 people attended raising nearly $40,000 for the preschool. All money donated through Mathews Rotary will be generously matched by Lynn White through the White Family Fund.
