The Mathews Rotary Club’s annual music event fundraiser, Party With a Purpose, will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, at Williams Wharf Landing, on Mathews’ East River. Music will be by The Roadducks, a seven-member band that has been performing together for many years and have toured with The Allman Brothers, Charlie Daniels and many others. They are known for their classic/southern rock/Motown music. Band members are, from left, Paul Thompson, Dexter Dunn, Jeff Bean, Michael Mistead, Jay Powell, Jay Nedry and Jeff Davis. Food will be provided by On the Flip Side and Backwoods BBQ as well as Short Lane Ice Cream. There will also be a beer and wine truck. Tickets are $30 and include one drink.
