Parker’s Automotive celebrates 25 years

What started as a hobby has led to a successful business for Van L. Parker of Glenns. His Parker’s Automotive Repair, Inc., is now in its 25th year in business.

Located in the 13800 block of George Washington Memorial Highway at Glenns, Parker’s business has grown to include modern computer diagnostic equipment, lifts and six service bays.

Parker is an auto tech, as are the three technicians who work with him: his son Brandon Parker of Glenns, his nephew Mike Parker of Glenns, and Jim Jones of Gloucester. Van and Mike are ASE certified technicians.

Parker said they offer a full range of automotive vehicle repair services, including engines, transmissions, differentials, shocks, brakes and electrical services. Customers regularly come from Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, King and Queen and West Point, he said, along with some folks who live in Washington, D.C., Maryland and the Peninsula who schedule work on their vehicles when they are visiting relatives here.
