Parents seeking to form GHS Dukes Football Club

A group of Gloucester High School football parents is working to form a new athletic booster organization, GHS Dukes Football Club. “We are a football program,” said Barbara Davis, one of the parents involved. “It’s about JV and varsity. It’s a joint effort all around.” The original athletic booster organization, Dukes Touchdown Club, disbanded earlier this year. The GHS varsity football team has its home opener scheduled for 7 o’clock tonight, Thursday, Sept. 3, with the Dukes taking on the Jamestown Eagles. Thanks to the hard work of their parents, family members and community, the players have what they need to step into the season on the right foot.
