The Prevention, Health and Wellness Division of the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board has several upcoming trainings and classes, including its virtual ongoing Nurturing Parenting Program.

The 15-week Nurturing Parenting Program meets from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays. The cost is $25 for the handbook and $25 per person/per session. Pre-registration by phone (804-642-5402) is required. Parents can enroll at any time.

Two Children First virtual co-parenting classes will be held this fall. The first will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21. The second is offered the same hours on Thursday, Oct. 19. To register, call 804-642-5402 or email prevent@mpnn.state.va.us.

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Training will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27. The training is designed to help participants to be able to recognize the warning signs of suicide and question, persuade, and refer people at risk for suicide for help.
