Panel discussion next week on affordable housing

The Gloucester Resource Council, a network of human service agencies, local community organization and faith-based groups, will convene a panel for a discussion on affordable housing in Gloucester at the council’s next meeting, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. next Wednesday, Sept. 7, in the Gloucester Main Library’s community room.

Panel participants representing various areas of housing will include Anne Ducey-Ortiz, Gloucester’s planning and zoning director; Josh Gemerek, senior vice president of housing for Bay Aging; Bruce DeSimone, senior strategic housing officer with the Virginia Housing Development Authority; as well as representatives from Gloucester Social Services and the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board.

All meetings of the GRC are open to the public. Those specifically interested in housing are encouraged to attend the September meeting.
