PAMELA E. SIMMONS

Pamela E. Simmons, 62, of Hayes, died Sept. 7, 2015 at her home.

She was born in Halifax, England, and after traveling the world with her Air Force husband, she lived on the Lower Peninsula for 18 years. For the last 10 years she called Bena home and loved every minute of it. Pamela was an MRI technologist at Orthopedic Spine Center in Newport News. She loved the beach especially the Outer Banks, traveled all over Europe and in the states from coast to coast with her dogs. Pamela had a great love for her Golden Retrievers and all activities associated with them. She had a green thumb and was a great cook who could take simple ideas and make them taste amazing.

She is survived by her husband, David Simmons; sisters-in-law, Janet Skiba and JoAnn Molina; brother-in-law, Charles Simmons; nieces and nephews, and a tremendous group of people that anybody in the world would be honored to call friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, from 2-4 in the afternoon and 7-8:30 in the evening at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.

In Pamela’s memory, contributions may be given to the Peninsula Pet Pantry, P.O. Box 1763, Yorktown, Va. 23692 or Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, Va. 23061.

Arrangements by Hogg Funeral Home and Crematory, Gloucester Point. Family and friends may share condolences and memories at www.hoggfh.com.
