Pair of grant-funded septic repairs completed locally

The Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission has completed a pair of septic repair projects for low- to moderate-income homeowners locally since a state grant was received last fall.

One septic repair project has been completed in Gloucester and another in Mathews since October, MPPDC finance director Beth Johnson said on June 23. Those two repairs cost $34,619.

Meanwhile, the regional agency’s septic repair program currently has six projects pending, including three in Gloucester, one in Mathews, and the others elsewhere in the six-county planning district. Total cost for the pending Gloucester/Mathews projects is $29,398 and $38,053 for the ones in other Middle Peninsula localities.
