Paintings by Johnny Hayes and Juli Schuszler are currently on display in the windows of the Rappahannock Art League Art Center in Kilmarnock. Hayes is a Hampton native whose journey from the University of North Carolina through military service and a career in interior and building design has culminated in a passion for painting “that bursts with energy and vivid color,” said a press release. His contemporary works have been exhibited across the region, earning a reputation for innovation and visual impact and resulting in a range of awards, including from the Virginia Watercolor Society, Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center, and Walls of Art at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. Schuszler of Gloucester brings the beauty of nature to life with her oil paintings.
