Paintings by Johnny Hayes and Juli Schuszler are currently on display in the windows of the Rappahannock Art League Art Center in Kilmarnock. Hayes is a Hampton native whose journey from the University of North Carolina through military service and a career in interior and building design has culminated in a passion for painting “that bursts with energy and vivid color,” said a press release. His contemporary works have been exhibited across the region, earning a reputation for innovation and visual impact and resulting in a range of awards, including from the Virginia Watercolor Society, Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center, and Walls of Art at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
