‘Paint the Town Yellow’

For the second year in a row, and the third time overall, Gloucester artist Carol Aldridge was chosen as the winner of the Gloucester Daffodil Festival’s Limited Edition Print Contest. This year, Aldridge, at right, won with her depiction of this year’s festival theme—“Paint the Town Yellow.” Born in England, Aldridge grew up in California and has spent the last 20+ years in Gloucester, where she works at the main branch of the Gloucester Public Library. Aldridge’s painting was chosen out of nine entries this year; the unveiling was held during a reception Saturday afternoon at Arts on Main.
