Amanda Davis, an eighth grade student at Page Middle School, has been invited to participate in the People to People Student Ambassador Program’s European Heritage Tour.

To help Davis and the nine additional students in the Tidewater delegation cover their costs for the trip, a variety show fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 18 at the Scottish Rite Center on Saunders Road in Newport News.

The variety show will include music and comedy with featured entertainment by members of the Magic of Harmony Show Chorus. Tickets are $20 and available only in advance. For more information or to purchase tickets, call Steve Davis at 642-9733.

Davis’s summer trip will take her to seven countries in 20 days. It includes a visit to the beaches of Normandy, a home stay with a German family, a meeting with a member of British Parliament and tours of European cathedrals and castles.
