Page, Peasley students compete in spelling bees

Page and Peasley Middle Schools recently held their annual Scripps spelling bees and released the results. Language arts teachers held their classroom spelling bees in December and the class winners went on to compete in the schoolwide spelling bee.

With COVID-19 restrictions, the classroom winners had to use Scripps’ online testing platform. The participant’s parents registered them for the online test and were given a window of Jan. 4-11 to complete the assessment.Participants were given 25 words to spell with the student spelling the most words correctly winning the schoolwide bee.

Page had 10 classroom spelling bee winners register and complete the online spelling bee test.
