P.E.O. Chapter CA (Mathews and Gloucester) presented $500 scholarship awards each to two 2025 high school graduates at the group’s December business meeting. Award recipients were Katherine Murphy (Mathews High School) majoring in Elementary Education at William & Mary seeking to obtain a master’s in Elementary Education and Speech Pathology, and Mackenzie Alcorn (Gloucester High School) majoring in Exercise Science at Liberty University with the goal of attaining a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
